We are looking for a passionate leader with extensive experience in large-scale food production, logistics, and sourcing who wants to have a huge direct impact on a fast-growing, mission-driven startup

Sprinly is an organic plant-based meal delivery startup on a mission to make it as easy as possible for others to live healthier, happier lives. We launched in the summer of 2016 in Cleveland, and we’ve been working to rapidly scale our operations. Currently, we ship our healthy meals throughout Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and Chicago! In the next 12 months, we are working on quickly expanding across the Midwest and East Coast. Within the next few years, we plan on opening a West Coast facility and our goal is to serve clients nationally — from San Francisco all the way to New York City.

WHAT WILL I DO?

  • Become the individual who leads the show and takes Sprinly from a regional offering to a national brand in the next few years
  • Anything and everything related to managing and scaling our culinary operations
  • This includes scaling and managing the day-to-day culinary operations, sourcing high-quality ingredients at scale, and improving logistics to ensure operations are running as efficiently as possible
  • Create new training and operational systems & processes
  • Develop unique, healthy & delicious recipes
  • Cultivate an amazing work culture and bring out the potential of each individual on growing culinary team
  • This role will give you the opportunity and require you to manage teams of 35+
  • Our goal is to continue developing you and have you grow as a leader, offering you the potential to recruit, develop, and manage hundreds of employees as we grow
  • Be creative and test new innovative technologies (packaging, kitchen software, equipment…etc.) that will improve our offering and overall operations
  • Lead the process and decision-making on purchasing the latest equipment that will help streamline operations
  • Establish more QA systems and be responsible for making sure we’re in compliance with the latest food regulations as we scale
  • We’re currently expanding our facility and will continue to do so, and you will be in charge of planning for and leading these expansions
  • Opportunities and responsibilities will evolve as the company grows

        REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience in food service/manufacturing
  • Experience in sourcing and managing logistics / supply chain
  • Experience in leading large teams
  • Ability to manage all aspects of culinary operations seamlessly
  • Hold yourself and others to incredibly high standards, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to create happiness with the team/culture we’re building and the Sprinly client experience every week
  • Sound judgment with great problem-solving skills. Always thinking of the ripple effect when it comes to decision-making (keeping in mind how those decisions will impact the team, our client, and Sprinly overall)
  • Possesses a knack for getting things done, no matter the circumstance
  • Very organized and possesses great attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial and understands the culture of a startup
  • Able and excited to take on new challenges, especially as we grow & scale (hiring/training a large team, large-scale organic sourcing, creating new systems/processes…etc.)
  • Good with numbers, cost-conscious, and natural ability to budget
  • Always reliable, responsive, and willing to help out at all times of the day whenever necessary
  • Preferred: food science exposure and experience creating a HACCP plan
  • Preferred: tech-savvy and experience using Excel
  • Preferred: experience with recipe creation, particularly with plant-based dishes
  • Extremely self-driven and motivated to change the world
